Balloons can be inflated with air (they will not float), a mixture of air and helium (typically for very large balloons), or helium.
ELME MESSER GAAS offers a special balloon-grade helium product called BALLONGAS, with a purity level designed to provide the longest possible float time for balloons.

How does it work?

Helium molecules are very small and can easily pass through the microscopic pores of latex balloons. BALLONGAS contains small amounts of nitrogen and oxygen, whose larger molecules help slow down the escape of helium through the balloon wall, extending the balloon's float time.
An even more effective solution for reducing helium loss is Hi-FLOAT gel. Applied to the inside of a latex balloon, it forms a protective coating that significantly reduces helium leakage and can extend float time by several times.
