Description
Designation | |
Inoxline C3H1 (ISO 14175 - M11-ArCH-3/1) is a premium-grade welding mixture. Composition: 96 vol% argon, 3 vol% carbon dioxide and 1 vol% hydrogen. Shielding gas for manual, mechanized and automated MAG welding of high-alloy austenitic steels. Particularly well-suited for joint welding on components of all plate thicknesses. Adding hydrogen while increasing CO2 content at the same time stabilizes the arc, increases arc energy and improves welding results. |

Specifications | |
Inoxline C3H1 is used for MAG welding of austenitic stainless steels ONLY! (NOT Ferritic-Martensitic Duplex Stainless Steel, NOT Auminium). 18-8 (Cr-Ni) type stainless engineering steels have the designation 300 series and the most common alloys are the 301, 302, 303 & 304 grades which are referred to as austenitic stainless steels, since their crystal lattice structure in metallurgically known as face-centred cubic (fcc). 301, 302 & 304 grade stainless steels are welded using 308L filler rod. No matching chemistry welding wire is produced. 308L welding rod contains 2% extra chromium content in order to counter the 2% Cr that is lost in the welding arc. Thus, the weld deposit then ends up as type 304. |
