Description
The quality of technical argon is 99,996% in according to ISO 14175. Argon is an inert, and non-toxic gas, widely used in industries. The pressure of gas cylinder is 20 Mpa (200 bar) at the T= +15oC.
Solutions: We offer cylinders with an argon: for rent (NOT for sell).
Application: Argon is used in MIG/TIG welding (as a pure gas) in MAG welding (as a part of shielding gas mixture) and in cutting processes to protect the weld/cut from oxidation. It is used in metallurgy to create an inert atmosphere, as well as in medicine and electronics. Argon improves thermal and sound insulation when it filled inside of double-glazed windows. The thermal conductivity of argon is 30% lower, than an air. So, filled in double-glazed windows argon helps reduce heating costs in winter and air conditioning expenses in summer.
Interesting information Argon in gas discharge lamps glows with a violet-blue color. Similarly, in TIG welding (GTAW, welding with a non-consumable electrode in an argon environment), argon emits a bright white light with a bluish or violet hue.
This color is due to the fact that during an electric discharge, argon atoms become excited and emit light primarily in the blue and violet wavelength range of the spectrum.
