Ferroline C18 is a gas mixture of (Ar = 82%) and (CO2 = 18%), M21 ArC-18 in according to EN ISO 14175. The pressure of gas cylinder is 20 Mpa (200 bar) at the T= +15°C. Ferroline C18 is a basic level, universal welding mixture, which is used for MAG welding. It is used both for entry-level semi-automatic welding machines, with maximum welding currents up to 160/200 A, and for powerful industrial MAG machines with welding currents up to 600 A. FERROLINE is the group of gases mostly used for welding of low carbon, low alloy steels.Applications
Ferroline C18 is used in industry as a universal option for welding carbon and low-alloy steels, providing a good balance between penetration depth and weld quality. It is used in automotive industry (welding car body parts), mechanical engineering (manufacturing metal structures, pipelines), construction (welding load-bearing steel structures).Таблица параметров

Ferroline C18 is mostly used with welding wire types of SG1, SG2 welding wire (ER70S-6), SG3 welding wire (ER70S-6) (AWS/ASME SFA - 5.18, EN ISO 14341 - A) with a diameter of 0.6 mm to 1.2 mm or more. Ferroline C18 is suited for welding of mild (low alloy, low carbon) steel with a thickness from 3 mm till 10 mm and more. The welding quality is quite good: small porosity, not so many spatters (in comparison with Ferroline C25).Interesting information
When the CO₂ content in the mixture increases, the arc becomes longer and hotter, but it may also be less stable and cause more spatter.Welding Positions (according to ISO 6947):
